The Gap XL is just that, an extra-large 21" toptube version of the tried-and-true Kink Gap. Components found on the Gap XL take things up a notch and are not to be missed. Despite its popularity, the Kink Drifter is our only 26" bike. Kink BMX is a BMX brand, through and through, and the Drifter is truly an extension of that. This bike is for the BMX dad whose back has seen better days, but he's still not afraid to jump a curb or two. It's for riding to school or work when the 20" wheels aren't so practical. The Drifter is for having fun on your bike and ripping a timeless skid. The Drifter uses all standard BMX specs and components, which makes things super easy to maintain and gives the bike an extremely natural feel to a BMXer. ALLOY MAINFRAME We used lightweight and corrosion-resistant 6061 aluminum for the mainframe of our Taxi Trike, while many others use heavier steel frames. By utilizing aluminum tubing, we can shape the tubes to feature a low step-thru for easy access without having a gusset that hinders access. SEMI-INTEGRATED HEADSET The semi-integrated headset bearings sit inside the head tube with no external cups to expose, while the top cone features an additional rubber 5 seal to keep out the elements. CRUISER PLATFORM PEDALS WITH GRIP TAPE AND RUSTLESS BUSHINGS The wide and flat surface of our Cruiser pedals are ideal for riding in flip flops, with grip tape in the center for extra control. The bushings are a big deal for durability. The ball bearings in regular pedals oxidize and degrade FAST in a coastal environment—from salt-water contamination or from rides in inclement weather. ALLOY 3 PIECE CRANKS + SEALED CARTRIDGE BB Most tricycles use "old school" steel 1-piece cranks with caged or loose ball bottom brackets, but not our Taxi Trike! The Taxi trike uses alloy crank arms for superior corrosion resistance and a sealed cartridge bottom bracket for enhanced durability and lower maintenance. FRONT AND REAR BRAKES Trikes are heavier than traditional bicycles, and handle completely differently so stopping power is a must. Unlike many trikes on the market, the Taxi trike has both front AND rear brakes for the right amount of modulation and power. The front brake is also equipped with "parking brake" functionality for when you arrive at your destination. CHEEKS CRUISER MEMORY FOAM SADDLE Our new CHEEKS Cruiser saddle with memory foam is first in class for comfort on a trike. A wide base, thick memory foam padding, and elastomer springs make riding our Taxi Trike feel like settling into your favorite armchair. WIDE TIRES W/ REFLECTIVE SIDEWALL The Taxi Trike has 24" x 2" wide tires for better stability and impact absorption. EASY ACCESS We're super proud of the Citizen's sleek frame design. With an arcing top tube for the "Men's" frames and S-bend top and down tubes for a super-low step-through "Women's" version. In fact, we hesitate to designate either with gender specific labels because the version with the easy-access, low step-over top tube is suitable for anyone with limited hip flexibility who might be challenged to swing a leg over the rear wheel when mounting & dismounting. EASY ON THE NECK & BACK A usual complaint from new or returning riders trying to get into the cycling groove is feeling uncomfortably perched forward with too much weight on their wrists and having to crank their necks backwards just to be able to see in traffic. We specifically designed our Citizens to remedy this. The large diameter 700c wheels push handlebar height up and shorter top tubes pull handlebars closer to the saddle, all to mitigate forward lean. Our 4-inch rise handlebars sweep back at a natural hand-grasp angle with a long-quilled or angle-adjustable stem that allows for a wide range of adjustment to tune handle bar height and reach perfectly for each ride. GEARED TO GO The shifting systems on all our Citizens feature long cage rear derailleurs, full-size 48/38/28T triple-chainring cranksets (single 44t chainring for Citizen base model) and big 11-32T or 14-34T gearing in the back. This gives you the dual advantage of having fairly tall gears for controlled pedaling at speed on descents as well as really low gearing for easier pedaling uphill. It's a rider-friendly combination that's made the Citizens a perennial favorite of recreational cyclists.

Our Ventura bikes borrow heavily from our race-proven geometry to help keep you in front on the local Saturday ride. But, we've softened the edges of that geo just a bit for a more comfortable and confident ride so you can head out again on Sunday, still fresh and ready to hammer your buddies one more time.
